WHY YOU SHOULD WALK BAREFOOT IN YOUR LAWN!



What is Earthing?
Earthing/Grounding is NOT a new concept in holistic medicine. It is an age-old practice that we have gotten far away from. Our modern fast-paced lifestyles have disconnected us from this practice. We have left ourselves more vulnerable to inflammation, pain, stress, poor sleep, and illness.

Throughout history, humans mostly walked barefoot or with footwear made of animal skins. They slept on the ground or on skins. Through direct contact the ground's abundant free electrons were able to enter the body, which is electrically conductive. Now we run, run, & run some more, wear rubber soled shoes, so we are not reaping any benefits of the negatives ions being released from the Earth.  Through this mechanism, every part of the body could equilibrate with the electrical potential of the Earth, thereby stabilizing the electrical environment of all organs, tissues, and cells. Our bodies and cells have electrical energy, and especially with the high prevalence of electromagnetic waves, wifi and mobile phones, many of us have a high amount of positive electrons built up in our bodies.

Humans are bioelectrical beings living on an electric planet. Many diseases are directly related to inflammation in the body. Inflammation is a positively charged molecule. Therefore, by making direct contact with the earth the negatively charged ions are absorbed into the body. They in return reduce the inflammation in the body. Contact with the earth helps restore the body’s natural electrical balance. Our disconnection from the earth has not always been directly related to today’s illnesses. The Journal of Environmental & Public Health has proven this to be true.

The surface of the planet is electrically conductive (except in limited ultra dry areas such as deserts), and its negative potential is maintained (i.e., its electron supply replenished) by the global atmospheric electrical circuit.

How do you ground?
It’s free!! So doesn’t that mean it is worth a try? Walk barefoot on the dirt, grass, sand or concrete. Wood, asphalt, and vinyl are not conductive. Do it every day, or as much as you can. If you live in the desert or are unable to ground there are alternatives. Earthing mats and earthing sheets are available online. I personally do not have any experience with them though.
